Creativity with food is a talent I have always admired and wish I was better at. The other night after blogging about school lunches, I started researching more ideas on how to make Hello Kitty sandwiches for my 1st grader. In my research I came across some fun ideas. Have you ever heard of Bento Boxes? The picture above came from this bento box blog.

Bento Box lunches are very famous in Japan. The simplest definition of bento is that it is the Japanese word for a boxed lunch.

This arcitle, written by Sharon Haddock, was in the Mormon Times yesterday. Included are a few of my all time favorite recipes. Thank you Sharon for writing such an incredible article highlighting my ideas on how to save time and money with freezer meals.

Tonight was one of those nights that by 5:30pm, I was too tired to walk, fold the clean laundry or make dinner. Luckily, my freezer was stocked with a bag of cooked shredded pork and a log of coconut chip cookie dough.

Our favorite meal of all time is pizza! It takes time to make pizza from scratch, so why not make 4 pizzas at once, bake one for dinner and place the other four in your freezer to serve later? My hero Crystal Godfrey, with Everydayfoodstorage.net and I got together a few months ago to make a video on how to make frozen pizza. What a privilege it was to be with her for a few hours in her kitchen!

In our home, we love pizza! I grew up having homemade pizza every Saturday night. As you know, pizza freezes extremely well and because of that, we have pizza one or two times a week. Sometimes it is fun to put a twist on the pizza recipe. A stromboli is basically a pizza rolled up. It tastes just as wonderful, but new textures and flavors are added. This recipe is also great for an easy lunch to take to work or an after school snack.
